Epic Games reduce 1.000 de locuri de muncă, afirmă că interesul pentru Fortnite a scăzut

Epic Games va concedia 1.000 de angajați marți, conform unui memorandum intern postat pe blogul companiei. CEO-ul Epic Games, Tim Sweeney, a scris în memo că „scăderea interesului pentru Fortnite, care a început în 2025, înseamnă că cheltuim semnificativ mai mult decât câștigăm, iar trebuie să facem reduceri majore pentru a menține compania finanțată”, potrivit techcrunch.com.

Sweeney a adăugat că „această desființare a locurilor de muncă, împreună cu economiile identificate de peste 500 de milioane de dolari în contractare, marketing și închiderea unor roluri deschise ne pun într-o situație mai stabilă”.
